Research Topics
Exploration of abstract cognitive processes
Scientists in the Visual Cognition Research Group use detailed and concrete knowledge of the visual system as a solid foundation upon which to strengthen understanding of more abstract cognitive processes. Specific research topics include visual attention, visual memory, visual scene perception and oculomotor control.
Laboratories of our research group
The Visual Cognition Research Group is composed of members of Dr. Joy Geng's Integrated Attention Lab, Dr. John Henderson's Visual Cognition Lab, Dr. Steve Luck's Laboratory for Basic and Translational Cognitive Neuroscience, Dr. Ron Mangun's Laboratory for the Neural Mechanisms of Attention, Dr. Lisa Oakes' Infant Cognition Lab, and Dr. Susan Rivera's Neurocognitive Development Lab.
