RICHARD N. ASLIN
PROFESSOR EMERITUS OF BRAIN & COGNITIVE SCIENCE, UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER
Prof. Aslin is a cognitive scientist and developmental psychologist whose work on the role of statistical regularities in learning has had an enormous impact on the field. At the University of Rochester, he has been Chair of the Department of Psychology and Director of the Center for Language Sciences and Center for Brain Imaging. He is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
MARLENE BEHRMANN
PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY, CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY
Prof. Behrmann is a neuropsychologist and cognitive neuroscientist who is a world leader in understanding the cognitive and neural bases of higher visual processes, especially face processing. At CMU, she has been the Director of the Center for Neural Basis of Cognition. She is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and winner of the APA Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contributions to Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience.
PATRICIA S. CHURCHLAND
PROFESSOR EMERITA OF PHILOSOPHY, UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO
Prof. Churchland is the world’s leading philosopher of neuroscience, whose monograph Neurophilosophy was largely responsible for the creation of this new field. She has published five major monographs, received a MacArthur Foundation “genius” award, and is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
JOHN COLOMBO
PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS
Prof. Colombo is well-known for his high-impact research on perceptual and cognitive abilities in infants and has also become one of the world’s leading researchers into the effects of nutrition on the development of mind and brain, with extensive experience working on industry-funded clinical trials. At KU, he is the Director of the Schiefelbusch Institute for Life Span Studies, the Director of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center, and has served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School.
JOHN JONIDES
PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE, UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Prof. Jonides is one of the world’s leading cognitive neuroscientists. He was the founding editor of Cognitive, Affective, & Behavioral Neuroscience, Associate Dean for Research at the University of Michigan, and co-directs the UMich Functional MRI Center. He was selected as the Association for Psychological Science William James Fellow Award for lifetime achievement.
