Memory and Plasticity Group

The Memory and Plasticity Group is an alliance through which scientists from a wide range of disciplines work synchronously in explorations of the processes of memory formation, retention and organization in the human brain.

Collaborators in the Memory and Plasticity Group include specialists in cognitive neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, scientists who investigate neural networks at the cellular and molecular level, and practicing clinicians

Research Topics

The influence of experiences

Participating scientists are conducting research to uncover the mechanisms by which experiences shape neural circuits and behavior.

Mechanisms of learning and memory

Researchers are working to increase understanding of how development, aging and disease affect mechanisms of learning and memory.

Improvements in learning and memory

Researchers seek to develop new approaches to improve learning and memory in healthy individuals and in patients with memory disorders.
