I'm interested in how visual space is mapped in the brain. As spatial representations progress from precise retinotopy to more complex organizations that incorporate attention, head/body orientation, and many other factors, how does this information combine to ultimately reflect what we perceive? Current projects include attentional influences on retinotopy in early visual cortical areas, position coding and attentional modulation in the human pulvinar, and the representation of crowded objects at various stages of processing.
